Wintergreen
Couch
Wintergreen couch is an attractive turf variety which has
a luxurious soft-to-the-touch fine leaf cover. Like most couch varieties,
Wintergreen is resistant to heavy use and thrives in full sun. This

or frost. Wintergreen Couch is ideal for heavy use areas exhibiting
rapid recovery after stress or injury. It requires minimal fertilizers
and minimal maintenance.

Empire
Zoysia
Developed in Brazil, Empire Zoysia thrives in harsh tropical climates
yet exhibits excellent cold hardiness, a combination uncommon to
other Zoysia grasses. Its beauty and functionality make Empire Zoysia
uniquely suited for homeowners and commercial users in varying climatic
conditions of Australia. It adapts to a wide range of soil types
and requires less water than most other grasses, even in sandy loam
soils. Its massive root system runs deep and sustains the grass
through periods of drought, heavy use and harsh conditions while
providing rapid injury recovery. |
|

|
| |
- Lush, soft,
dark green turf with small leaf.

Mow 15-50mm
with standard rotary mower every 7 – 10 days. Shorter
heights require regular and more frequent mowing. |
Water thoroughly
only when needed. Apply water when slight wilting is visible.
One inch of water per week is the rule of thumb during drought
conditions for sandy loam soils. In frequent, thorough watering
promotes healthy turf. Over watering encourages excessive growth,
disease, root rot and will suffocate turf. When automatic watering
systems are used it is advised to install a rain shut-off device
to disarm the system when it rains. Early morning hours are
the optimal time to irrigate. Night waterings are not suggested. |
Apply balanced
controlled - released fertilizer such as ProLawn
with iron to improve colour. Perform soil analysis for optimal
results. |

Palmetto
Palmetto has outstanding emerald green colour that is a true
eye catcher. It performs well in full sun yet thrives in shaded
areas where other grasses fail. Palmetto St Augustine (Dwarf
Soft Leaf Buffalo) requires 2-4 hours of direct sunlight.
No grass can survive in extreme shade, but Palmetto is better
than others. It is a cold hardy, frost tolerant Buffalo grass.
It generally holds winter colour longer than most other warm
season turf varieties including Kikuyu, Couch and other buffalos
and will remain evergreen in most areas of Australia. Palmeto
St Augustine also has a massive deep root system making it
drought tolerant once established. Palmetto St Augustine recovers
quickly from damage by wear or minor scalping as it sends
out runners to repair open areas.
