Empire Zoysia
Developed in Brazil, Empire Zoysia thrives in harsh tropical climates yet exhibits excellent cold hardiness, a combination uncommon to other Zoysia grasses. Its beauty and functionality make Empire Zoysia uniquely suited for homeowners and commercial users in varying climatic conditions of Australia. It adapts to a wide range of soil types and requires less water than most other grasses, even in sandy loam soils. Its massive root system runs deep and sustains the grass through periods of drought, heavy use and harsh conditions while providing rapid injury recovery.

Water thoroughly only when needed. Apply water when slight wilting is visible. One inch of water per week is the rule of thumb during drought conditions for sandy loam soils. In frequent, thorough watering promotes healthy turf. Over watering encourages excessive growth, disease, root rot and will suffocate turf. When automatic watering systems are used it is advised to install a rain shut-off device to disarm the system when it rains. Early morning hours are the optimal time to irrigate. Night waterings are not suggested.
